I am currently working on a hydrualic fill structure built in the late 's.  I have exhausted the resources available to me.  If you have any references to hydraulic fill dam construction, material properties, ect., please let me know.  Data prior to would be a plus as no data is available for the 'rules of thumb' or design guides used by the engineers to construct the dam.

Check MWH Global Infrastructure in Chicago. This company purchased Harza Engineering Co, which used to do a lot of design in dams.

The Fort Peck Dam in Montana was built in the 's using hydraulic fill methods. Although not a technical resource, http://www.fortpeckdam.com/ tells the story of the dam's construction and has seemingly hundreds of photos.

What questions are you seeking to answer?  Strength for static or dynamic analysis?  Seepage characteristics?

That website DMcGrath cites is a lot of fun to look at.  There is also a pretty good novel about the construction period: "Bucking the Sun" by Ivan Doig.

Thanks for your replies.  I currently have the ASCE publication.  We will be evaluating both the static and dynamic properties during the later stages of our investigation.  Any other suggestions would be of great help.
