Following on from our post last week about flexibility in hospitality spaces, here’s our thoughts on why bar and restaurant clients want this now more than ever: ➡ Improves customer experiences - whether customers want an intimate setting, prefer a more open space or want a semi-private area for larger groups or parties, having a space that can be flexed to meet these diverse needs will deliver much better customer experiences. ➡ Cost-efficiency - Instead of investing in multiple spaces for different purposes, having a single flexible area can save on real estate costs and operational expenses. ➡ Seasonal Adjustments - Restaurants and bars often see fluctuations in customer flow based on seasons or holidays. A flexible space allows for quick adjustments for increased or decreased demand. We work closely with our client's teams to fully understand how they want their space to optimally function and always incorporate this into our design processes from the outset. Honey & Co. Daily, a newly launched deli, bakery and café in London was designed to complement the existing Honey & Co venues, while having its own unique identity as a more relaxed and flexible space. The design had to deliver on functionality as a busy, multi-purpose venue, while also aesthetically reflecting the welcoming and serene ambiance that Honey & Co venues are known for.   The space had to be flexible for special events the owners wanted to host - such as supper clubs and holiday celebration feasts. Our solution was a curtain can be pulled to divide off the dining area from the deli creating a more intimate event space. In the restaurant area low level cafe curtains act as a buffer between the busy street and dining space and help to distinguish this area from the more casual deli space. We also designed display counters on castors in the deli which can be easily rotated to conceal the products and used as perch seating for evening and events. Without moving any of the goods they contain, they can also be split and used as queue barriers if required during busy periods. Achieving this delicate balance without compromising the design's overall integrity requires experience and expertise - something which our team delivers on all our projects. ➡ If you want to talk to us about our ideas on designing flexible spaces then get in touch - we'd love to help you or hear your thoughts on this topic. #interiordesign #hospitalitydesign #flexibledesign #flexiblespace #londonrestaurant #londonbar #londondeli #londoninteriordesign #londondesignstudio. #awardwinningdesign #biidida #biidwinner #interioroftheyeard
